Watch your manner of speech if you wish to develop a peaceful state of mind. Start each day by affirming peaceful, contented and happy attitudes and your days will tend to be pleasant and successful.

To find peace in our lives, we must seek it and what better way to seek peace than to start your day with affirmations that promote peace?

Find that which gives you peace today and focus on its beauty. Nature is my solace and even in the midst of chilling rains, I always find joy, awe and peace in the forces of nature.

Get in the habit of visiting your peaceful place when you awake and voicing peaceful happy thoughts to guide you through the day.

Today, I am grateful for soft fluffy blankets that envelop me in warmth when I grab that last few minutes of sleep, for the sound of the rain on the roof and good books. I am grateful for laughing children who throw their cares to the wind, for a sense of humor that allows me to enjoy the world and for a sense of wonder that keeps my mind active. I am ever grateful for my family and friends who fill my life with wonder and joy.

And, I am grateful for you, dear reader, as you stop to share my day. May your world be filled with peace and joy today as you learn to use your words to bring peace into your life.

Everything you want is out there waiting for you to ask. Everything you want also wants you. But you have to take action to get it. ~ Jack Canfield

Consider the eagle today. The mighty eagle doesn't sit and wait for the world to come to him.  He takes action and  positions himself above the  world where he has a clear view of his opportunities and when they arise, he swoops in to claim them.

If you want to soar like an eagle, take your cues from himpo today, and take action to gain a vantage point where your opportunities are in clear view and be ready to claim them.

Today, I am grateful for coffee in a steaming mug, for sunshine to light my way and for relaxation. I am grateful for people and places I have never seen, music I have yet to hear and the sweetness of summer nights. I am grateful for family and friends who tether me, yet let me soar.

And, I am grateful for you, dear reader, as you find your way to the pages of my soul and share my song with me. May your day be filled with purposeful action that leads you to the life of abundance you always dreamed could be.

When you get the hang of this, before you know it you will KNOW you
are the creator.
(quote from The Secret)

Just as the artist needs vision that he brings to life on the canvas, we need vision to bring to life in our lives.

In the beginning, it may be difficult to hold onto images and bring them to pass, but with practice and belief, it will happen.

The artist doesn't begin his journey with a full-sized mural expecting to paint a masterpiece. He begins with a vision of what he wants to express and lets the vision guide his hand.

Consider the artist today. Create a vision of yourself living in abundance. Feel the joy of knowing it will come to pass. Let the vision guide your action today as you work towards filling the canvas of your life with brilliant color.

Today, I am grateful for quiet time to think, for the gentle spring breeze and for trees as they begin to awake for spring. I am grateful for laughter and the kitten's purr. I am grateful for the brilliant color that God paints the sky when the sun is done, for the soft blue hues of the mountain as night beckons and the purity of snow-covered peaks.

I am grateful for the people who touch my life and bring unbridled joy, for family that gives me  a solid foundation and for those I have yet to meet who have much to teach me.

And, I am grateful for you, dear reader, as you stop to share my day. May your visions be bright and you way be clear today.

You can begin feeling whatever you want (even if it's not there)..
the universe will correspond to the nature of your song.

Consider the birds of the field today. The robin arrives with expectations of spring and hops cheerily about regardless of the weather. He doesn't waste time worrying that it is not warm enough, yet. He doesn't run and hide at the first sight of snow. He knows in his heart that spring is here and that life will unfold as it should.
As a kid, I loved the old song "The Robin came and sang. Cheerup. Cheerup. Cheerup. Spring is here. Spring is in the air." I fancied that the robin came to to welcome spring and bring cheer to my life. I still watch for the robin and find great joy in listening to his song.

The robin knows when spring is due and doesn't waste time waiting for everything to fall in place before he takes action. He acts on what he knows to be true. Take your cue from the faithful robin today and act as though spring is already here.

Today, I am grateful for the dusting of snow that bids farewell to winter. I am grateful for the return of the robins sitting proud atop the tallest tree. I am grateful for cool crisp air that breaths life to the soul, for clear blue skies and for brilliant sunshine. I am grateful for the opportunity to live another day in peace and joy and the comfort of working from home. I am grateful for the opportunities I have yet to recognize, for the lives I touch with the written word and for kittens all soft and warm.

And, I am grateful for you, dear reader, as you stop to share my day. May your life be filled with peace and joy as you go forward on your journey to filling your life with abundance. May you have the faith of the lowly robin today, who returns in spring without regard to the brewing storm or the chilling air.

What we continually think about eventually will manifest in our lives.

Our subconscious minds have no sense of humor, play no jokes and cannot tell the difference between reality and an imagined thought or image. What we continually think about eventually will manifest in our lives.
The subconscious mind has the remarkable ability to respond to visual stimuli, making vision boards a wonderful way to stimulate positive thoughts, but don’t stop at your vision board. Take a look around you to see what you are feeding your mind everyday. Are your walls filled with peaceful and positive images? Does your home reflect your new desire to attract abundance and joy?
If the answer is no, focus on making changes in your living area to support your new beliefs today. If you haven’t already, make a vision board and display it in a prominent area of your home.

Adorn your walls with uplifting images and verses that promote positive joyful feelings. Although you can spend a small fortune in purchasing artwork to serve this purpose, if you aren’t in a position to invest a large sum of money, do not despair. Visit the dollar store or your local craft store and look for items that express positive thoughts. I personally prefer primitive crafts with hand written verses tucked into small corners as they add a touch of whimsy while providing uplifting messages.

Watch for the feeling of your home to change as your mind sets to work to bring the images you feed it to life.

Today, I am grateful for the coming of spring, for arrival of summer birds and clear blue skies that echo my joy. I am grateful for the gift of another day to spread joy to the world. I am grateful for opportunity to feel the wind on my face, take long walks in nature and for raindrops that signal spring. I am grateful for family and friends who are ever positive and look forward to the future with joy and anticipation.

And, I am grateful for you, dear reader as you stop to share my day. May your day be filled with the realization of dreams, the freedom of knowing you are in control of your own destiny and the courage to hold fast to your dreams.

The Greatest Discovery

The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitudes.  ~William James

I've always had a passion for hot air balloons and imagine myself soaring above the earth in the clear blue sky looking down and seeing cool green pastures, lush green foliage and meandering brooks.

I can feel the cool crisp breeze on my face that fills my lungs with fresh clean air and rejuvenates my life.

Visualizing my future should be no different.

Today, I challenge you to find that magical feeling of your youth when visualizing what you wanted most in life was easy -- the time when you could feel the very fabric of your future. Grasp onto that and transform it to fit your current goals.

Remove the boundaries today and let yourself imagine your future without fear or concern. Dare to dream the big dreams and let go of whatever it is that holds you back. Share your dreams, if you can -- or dream in secret if you must -- but find the courage today to dream and then follow that dream wherever it may lead.

You'll find me soaring over the tree tops and taking in the view.

Today, I am grateful for new opportunities, for recognizing new paths and for renewed courage. I am grateful for the emergence of spring and the promise of new growth around me. I am grateful for  perfect health and strength to complete the tasks I wish to complete. I am grateful for the sun as it peaks above the horizon promising a new day.

I am grateful for family, old friends who brighten my path and for new friends I have yet to meet. I am grateful for quiet moments, laughter and sunshine. I am grateful for living in the country, birds on wing and stars that light the night.

And, I am grateful for you dear reader as you stop to join my day. May your day be filled with joy as you continue your journey to change your life one thought at a time.

Sometimes we should express our gratitude for the small and simple things . . .

It is easy to express gratitude when things in your life are running smoothly, but a little more difficult when things get rough. We ha...
