“Success… is to spring to meet the day with a thrill at being alive.   It is to go forth to meet the morning in an ecstasy of joy.”  ~Lillian Whiting

Consider how you greet the world, today. It is those first moments that set the stage for how we view ourselves and how we view the world.

Cultivate the habit of waking with joy and excitement as you begin the journey of another day.

If you find yourself claiming you just "aren't a morning person" know that you are setting the stage for settling for less than you deserve today.

Arise with anticipation and excitement for the wonderful things that are coming your way today. Go forth to meet them with joy  knowing that what you desire is already there.

Today, I am grateful for the rising sun, for birds that sing and for raindrops that punctuate the day. I am grateful for darkness that gives way to light, for time to rest and time to be who I was meant to be. I am grateful for eyes that see, for ears that hear and a heart that loves.

I am grateful for family and friends that fill my life, for pets to bring me comfort and joy, and for those I've yet to meet who have much to teach me.

And, I am grateful for you dear reader, as you stop to share my day. May you greet the day with joy and anticipation and go forth towards your dreams, today.

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.~Eleanor Roosevelt

As children we are allowed to dream, but the transformation to seeing reality as it is comes too soon. Dreams fade and we follow the expectations of those around us and adopt a mindset that focuses on the here and now.

Focus on your dreams today and get a clear picture of where you want to go. Don't worry that the world thinks. Know in your heart that what your mind can conceive, you can achieve and go forward with courage and faith. Know that you hold the power to make your dreams come true.

Today, I am grateful for quiet times when my soul finds peace, for lively times that energize my soul and for family time that builds a strong foundation. I am grateful for the infinite beauty of of the universe, the graceful beauty of trees and for eyes and ears to see the beauty around me.

I am grateful for those who have gone before me and share their knowledge about the wonders of the human mind. I am grateful for Norman Vincent Peale who introduced me to the power of positive thinking, to Richard Bach who gave me pause to question the truths I held so dear, for Dr. David Hamilton who broadened my understanding of the science behind how our thoughts can change our world.

And, I am grateful for you, dear reader, as you stop to share my day. May your life be rich with dreams and may you always have the courage to pursue them and act as though they have already come to be. May you find joy and peace in your journey to understanding the incredible power you hold within.

"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." (Romans 12:2)

The kite does not worry that it has no wings and simply takes flight on the wind. If it looked to the world around it, surely it would realize that it could not fly.

Be like the kite today ready to take flight without thoughts of what the world tells you you can or cannot do.

Today, I am grateful for the freedom to choose my own path in life, for a sound mind to make good decisions and for courage to pursue my dreams. I am grateful for the insight of the ages published by great men and women who understand the great power of the human mind.

I am grateful for children who will some day be our leaders, for teachers and parents to guide them and for the hope of a bright tomorrow. I am grateful for sunny days, spring rain and budding trees that promise that life continues just as it should.

I am grateful for family and friends who give me courage and support in pursuing my dreams, for friends I have yet to meet and those who have crossed my path enriching my life in untold ways.

And, I am grateful for you, dear reader as you stop to share my day. May your heart be full and your future be bright as you continue your journey towards manifesting abundance in your life.

Human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes.  Norman Vincent Peale

How we see the world is influenced by what we have been taught. For most of us, that means focusing on obstacles that prevent us from from obtaining our goals in the thinly disguised cloak of being cautious and being realistic ~ by seeing the world the way it really is. The error is in assuming that there is one way to see the world and that things really "are" a certain way. They aren't.

Life is how we see it and if we choose to see it from a negative point of view and live our lives with a negative attitude, that is exactly what we will get -- negative experiences that confirm what we choose to believe.

When you make the decision to see the world from a positive point of view by developing a positive attitude, you may find yourself surprised by the good you find in the world and the good you find in people -- even those who you were convinced had nothing to offer.

So many times, I hear someone boast that they "tell it like it is" or "see it like it is" (usually in guise of being blunt and disrespectful to others) when in reality they simply see it the way they choose to and call that reality.

Change the way you view the world today and the world will open up in ways you never imagined. Cultivate a positive attitude and seek out all that is good and just and uplifting and you will change your life.

Today, I am grateful for a clear sound mind that is capable of choosing how I view the world. I am grateful for the confidence and courage to change my thoughts knowing it will change my life. I am grateful for the breath of life, for a beating heart and for nature that inspires me. I am grateful for family and friends that I hold dear, for loving relationships and courage to pursue my dreams.

And, I am grateful for you, dear reader, as you stop to share my day. May your day be filled with great changes as you change the world by changing your attitude. May you find all that is good and uplifting it the world to guide you on your journey.

Develop an attitude of gratitude and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation. ~Brian Tracy

Take time to be grateful today. Often we become so involved in getting where we want to go that we forget to be grateful for the people and events that lead us there.

All the great believers, those who have taught us the value of creating an image and holding fast until it comes to pass, have also taught that expressing gratitude is an essential step in achieving abundance in our lives.

Our want for the future must be tempered with a sincere gratitude for what we already have and for that which is to come. Why or how it works is a mystery. For those with religious beliefs, the explanation is that when we are grateful for what he has given us and have faith is his almighty power, God rewards us with the desires of our hearts. But, even those with religious faith admit that the technique works whether we believe in an almighty God or not. Those without religious beliefs attribute it to the Universe. Whatever your belief, whatever you choose to call the ever-present almighty power in your life, it must be combined with gratitude.

Express  your gratitude today as you work towards building the future you have always dreamed of.

I am grateful for air to breathe, for songs to sing and for chickadees. I am grateful for sunny days, starry nights and rain that fuels the earth and growing things. I am grateful for a sound mind that allows me to visualize what I want most, for the faith to see it through and for the knowledge that it will comes to pass.

I am grateful for family and friends to share my life, for the song of the robin that announces the break of day and for opportunities that have not yet comes to pass. I am grateful for a bright future for my children as they seek their way  in the world.

And, I am grateful for you, dear reader, as you stop to share my day. May your heart be filled with gratitude and your thoughts look to the future with hope and faith and the knowledge that what you desire most will come to pass.

To believe in the things you can see and touch is no belief at all. But to believe in the unseen is both a triumph and a blessing.
~Bob Proctor

Consider the return of birds in spring, today. The robin and the swallow return not by knowing the month and day that promises the return of spring, but by faith in that which they cannot yet see.  They know in their heart that spring will return and take action as though it were already here.

Their joyous chorus rings out long before the first rays of sun that signals dawn, yet they celebrate the coming of day. How wonderful to be like the birds of the field and act as though what we desire most already exists.

Take your cue from the faithful birds today and take action whether so see your goals coming to fruit or not. Act as though they already exist and let your soul shout out in song.

Today, I am grateful for green grass that grows in rain knowing the sun will return. I am grateful for the chorus of birds that reminds me that all is well with the world, for sleeping frogs soon to ring out in chorus and for flowers that will unfold when it is time. I am grateful for spring rain and cloudy skies that prepare my world for the glory of spring, for people I have yet to meet who will enliven my soul and for strangers who I will never know but touch with my words.

I am grateful for family and friends who challenge me to think outside the box and who remind when it is time for rest.

And, I am grateful for you, dear reader, as you stop and share my day. May your day be filled with faith as you act on things not yet seen with the eyes, but you know in the heart will comes to pass. May your thoughts be joyous and your heart be light as you journey through your day.

Sometimes we should express our gratitude for the small and simple things . . .

It is easy to express gratitude when things in your life are running smoothly, but a little more difficult when things get rough. We ha...
