“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.” Maria Robinson Consider who you are and how you came to be the person you are today. We all have a past that has shaped and molded lives. If we are lucky, we have learned from our experiences and formed a solid foundation for building our lives. But know that the past is gone and no longer has the power to alter our lives. What we do now is up to us. Let go of regrets and resentments seated in the past. Take that which is good and cast away that which is not. Acknowledge that the past has shaped you into the person you are, but that you have the power to mold a different future. Look to the future, today and cast away the worries and fears that are binding you to the past. Focus on a bright and productive future and begin the journey towards the new ending only you have the power to create. Today, I am grateful from gray clouds that cover the sky for they hold life-sustaining water to wash the world. I am grateful for wood smoke as it hangs low to the ground with its blue-gray billows that smell of warmth and home and love. I am grateful for the pink shimmer of the sun. I am grateful for butterflies and daisies that nod in the summer sun. I am grateful for my husband and children who are the foundation of my life. And, I am grateful for you, dear reader, as you go forth to create you new ending. May your day be filled with compassion and excitement as you move towards a future of abundance and joy.
